PJs please!

Jan Wallace of Pukekohe Community Action needs our help.

Fresh from leading community teams making sure our elderly and vulnerable were looked after during lockdown, Jan has just launched the annual appeal for pyjamas for kids in need in Franklin. With temperatures dropping there are children whose lives could be made a little healthier by nice warm pyjamas. Each year Jan and her team survey our lowest decile schools to identify children with the greatest need. Then they ask people in the community to contribute pyjamas. It’s likely the need will be much greater this year as the Covid-19 impact hits home. You can help by purchasing the pyjamas yourself and leaving them at a drop-off point listed below; or by making a donation so the team can buy the sizes they need the most. Pyjamas can be left at the Pukekohe Anglican Church office, Wesley St, Pukekohe Travel at 89 King St or Top Notch at 28 King St. To make a donation call/text Jan on 027 452 1366 or email [email protected]
